juushikaGhost and Aaron: Master List | Next Update
Two outtakes from yesterday's Ghost and Aaron update:
My good god, this explains so much.
(If it doesn't explain much to you: Aaron has had a longstanding friendship with Marcel, the poor butterfly that lives in the dining room. Marcel was his confidant during the beginning of his romantic relationship with Ghost, the one he turned to to pour out his troubles and doubts and to take in a bit of advice. Yes, it's fucking weird. And now we know why he has the affinity! It seems to runs in the family.)
Ghost is not happy with me and all the turmoil that I've thrown into his life.
Meanwhile, in a slightly different part of my Sims world...
Things between Samson and Penny continue apace. It's almost as if they're made for each other.
They start leaving work together to cross the street and play a few games of chess at the park.
Penny regularly kicks his ass.
Samson is somewhat of a sore loser.
Also in the park: Romance, with Yeti!
Really no kidding: this is a trend with the siblings.
But as their afternoon chess begins to bleed into evenings in the park...
There's a bit of romance sparking between Penny and Samson, too.
Penny may be jumping the gun just a bit, though.
A few more days of chess, and Samson begins to notice that there's something special about this girl.
He also grows significantly more graceful about losing to her.
Even if he can't stand to her in a game of chess, Penny sees something in him, too.
And so things get off to a promising start.
Meanwhile: "Wait—where am I and how did I get here?"
Welcome to the real world, hun. Sorry about the ugly house.
Expect to see a few more familiar faces around town.
This ... is just a picture of Riley. Because ... I like him.
He's one of my oldest sims, and one of the first to gain a real story. He's also one of my few old sims (Dominic is the other) whose appearance doesn't make me cringe. So I have an attachment, you see.
"I was thinking about going home ... because at home, I could shower!"
Penny is exceptionally bright—but you have to remember, that's still in sim terms.
This playing guitar on the lawn at dawn thing?
Turns out it's an inherited (father) trait (grandmother).
When she remembers to put clothes back on, Andrea goes into town and meets David.
"You love kids too? It's almost as if we're made for each other!"
*coughs*
Penny wants to be a chess master, so it's about time for her to start inviting over ranked chess players. And the first is ... Goku. Queue me going: "The hell now?" Because Goku is, of course, modeled after Goku from Dragonball Z, Yes, I am unrepentant fangirl. (Yes, there's a Vegeta too. No, I'll never ever photo him.) And while Goku is very good at what he does, chess isn't that—because the man is many things, but bright ain't one of them.
Thus the "wait, what am I doing here?" look. The "is she talking about books? I don't even read books!" look.
Yeah that's what I thought.
Back to more pertinant matters: Penny invites Samson over on Friday night, and finally scores their first kiss.
(Penny and Andrea and now living in a mostly-done house of their own, in case you were wondering.)
Samson also spends the night—in a mostly platonic way, by which I mean: no sex. They're taking it slow.
Isn't he adorably vulnerable in PJs and sans glasses, though? I love him.
So nothing groundbreaking here, just a little blip of an update on my way to future posts and growing romance.
