Haha, I'm not sure if it's a good show either, but it pushes sufficient numbers of my buttons for me to be completely obsessed by it. I think it does do some things really well -- I like its mixture of poking fun at itself and taking its character development very earnestly -- and some places where it's not really well thought-through. Really love your comparison with The Inner Light -- was talking about how much Life in the Day can be said to impact on Quentin's character, because we don't know how he processed how much of what happened, but The Inner Light is always shown to have a big impact on Picard, despite the way it messed with linear time.

I hope the move goes smoothly -- it sounds like a really difficult period right now. <3
