BPAL bottle of Ivanushka

Ever since [livejournal.com profile] sisterite gave me a bottle of The Tell-Tale Heart (my favorite LE), I've wanted a bottle of Ivanushka (my second favorite LE). So, finding an untouched bottle for a reasonable price, I finally got one. I've been buying bottles of my favorites—LEs, like this, so that I have enough to wear without guilt or worry; GCs of my favorites, especially where my imps are running out. Most BPAL purchases are high energy: exciting new scents to test and review and fall in love with. These purchases are low energy and somehow calming: there is peace in gathering what I know I love so that I can wear and enjoy it at my leisure.

Also, the bottle art of this one is beautiful.

Bonus, taken for a post about storing oils: Two pictures of my BPAL stash, boxed up.

My BPAL bottles, collection and storage, 10/08

I keep my bottles in a BPAL shipping box with bubble wrap on the bottom to prevent too much rolling (and the postcards/trading cards are stored beneath it). It's not ideal, but my bottle collection is small enough and the box is handy, so it works. LEs are on the bottom row, GCs and empties are on the top.

My BPAL imps, collection and storage, 10/08

My imps I store in a small box. It's the perfect size for two rows of imps with extras laid atop them. The bottom and lid are packed with a bit of tissue paper, which prevents shifting and seals in some of the OMG BPAL BOX fumes. It isn't the perfect storage option—reading labels can be a pain with the handful of imps on the second layer—but it's a secure location and I'm rather fond of it. I got that little box when I was given the metal "pillbox" shown in the second photo. It happens to be the perfect size for holding twelve imps, so I use it to store my favorites (and when I have duplicate imps, the one that I'm currently using). It's a secure, hard case, so it's ideal for carrying BPAL for travel.
