maybe my most favorite and most Toby-representative pic so far. cat tummies are never traps, only trust exercises—but he loves gentle tummy pets. he has blossomed from so skittish to so trusting, communicative, and happy. and skittish, I mean, don't get me wrong, he's a scaredy-boy.

August has always had a long white whisker on her chin (and since grew in many white whiskers everywhere but, shhh, she's older now); Tober had a weird kinked whisker when I got him, and I assumed it had been caught/pinched somehow ... but no, it keeps growing back in the same way.
